El Uru Suite Hotel

The location is good, but be prepared for surprises. The property needs a lot of work.

We could use the kitchen, and breakfast was good. The rooms were clean, and it’s a nice hotel.

The place is simple, but the hygiene is excellent and so are the people who work there.

The breakfast was the best part, especially the "medialunas de manteca," and getting to the city center was convenient. The three receptionists were very kind, though they seemed limited in what they could do administratively, especially with receipts. Booking.com offered a 21% discount for paying with a foreign card, but a staff member said I’d still be charged a 10% markup on a card payment. I chose to pay cash with my dollars instead. Some of my bills had to be exchanged because staff said they were damaged. At the administrator’s request I also changed another $20 bill they considered damaged. They gave me $4 back, but I had nothing smaller, and they couldn’t give change for a $10,000 bill when I was trying to pay the equivalent of 6,000 Argentine pesos. In the end, the staff member returned the disputed $4 to me without asking for anything in return. The manager sent the invoice by WhatsApp after correcting information that had been wrong or missing. The Wi-Fi barely existed, and hygiene was very poor.
