Flora Apartments

The stairs are worth knowing about before you arrive: getting into the Bromelia apartment means climbing a fairly steep, fairly large staircase, which could be tricky with kids or older travelers. Inside, though, it’s lovely, roomy, and stocked well for a comfortable stay. The city-center spot is excellent, just a few steps from the Seven Corners.

We found the apartment really roomy and comfortable, and the service was the best part. There’s no reception desk in the building, but a WhatsApp number by the front door gets a very quick reply and someone lets you in. It’s also right in the center, with lots of bars and restaurants nearby at night, which worked perfectly for our Cataratas tour.

The apartment was in excellent condition and had all the basics, including a sofa, microwave, refrigerator, and the other appliances you need. I was there for just one night and had such an exhausting schedule that I didn’t take any pictures inside.

The location made getting around easy: the terminal, the local bus stop for attractions, and the tourist bus stop are each three blocks away. Restaurants and the shopping center are two blocks away. The apartment itself is bright, modern, spacious, and very well equipped, even down to a toaster, blender, laundry basket, ironing board, and iron. The bathrooms need attention, though. Some tile and grout had mildew, and the tubs were yellow. Communication in the days before arrival was difficult, but once there we had no problems. Highly recommended.
