Iguazu Falls Hostel

The staff were a big help when I lost my passport at the Buenos Aires airport. I went to lost and found, and it was there! The falls were beautiful, and entry is half price if you have a ticket from the previous 72 hours. I’d stay here again. It’s a little rustic, but the location right by the main bus station is convenient, including for the airport shuttle. My bed was comfortable, though a bit soft. The Wi-Fi worked well across multiple hotspots, and the showers were fine with plenty available. The bedroom door wouldn’t stay shut, and the light outside was bright and flashing constantly. It took me a few days to figure out that a bit of paper wedged in the door fixed it.

The garden and pool were really nice, and the rooms were fairly large with lockers. Reception staff were kind and helpful. I asked to switch rooms midway through my stay because the people in the first one were noisy, and they agreed. The showers and toilets could have been cleaner.

Keep in mind that there’s no soap or shampoo in the rooms, and the shower only had cold water. It was 32C when I was there, so cold water wasn’t much of a problem. The AC and ceiling fan both worked fine. It’s a hostel first, with prices to match, and only a couple of blocks from the bus station, which makes getting to the falls easy. The service was great. They also accommodated me when I wanted to pay in USD.

The bus terminal is around the corner, and the main shopping streets are three blocks away, so the location is great. The staff are quiet, easygoing, and always available with tips. Every bed has its own locker, and the air conditioning and fans were on at night. I was also surprised there weren’t many mosquitoes in January. The garden is full of trees and plants, with a pool, kitchen, and common area that made it easy to meet guests from all over. I made some good friends there. People stayed up chatting by the pool, but I couldn’t hear noise in the rooms. The rooms and toilets are simple, but large and clean enough. Totally recommended for the best quality for the price in town.
