The staff were very helpful despite forgetting a few things, and the location was pretty good. It was also good value compared with other nearby hotels, which seemed much more expensive without looking any better quality-wise. Still, I can't recommend it. We stayed two nights and couldn't sleep, which is the bare minimum I'd expect from a hotel. Our room was right beside a communal bathroom that seemed to be a gathering spot for loud conversations around the clock. Other residents played loud music late in the communal area on the first night, and staff did nothing. The beds were terrible, the pool water was so dirty I didn't want to stay in it for more than a few minutes, and there were flakes of unknown things floating around, including some poo. The shower seemed to use the same water as the pool, so it felt like washing the poo water off got us nowhere. The electricity went out a few times, and they forgot to book our taxi.

The staff were very friendly, and the pool was good for kids. The location is four blocks from the bus terminal and six from the city center. The rooms are pretty rustic, with pillows like ham and bedding that needs replacing. Breakfast was meager and had little variety. They also tried to charge us "taxes" because we're Argentinian, so I ended up paying the Brazilian rate to avoid paying more than my reservation said.

The staff were fine, and the rooms are okay if you're not too picky. The air conditioning worked well and there was hot water, but getting in can be difficult for older people because of some pretty challenging stairs. The pool was awful and poorly maintained. Breakfast was mediocre: croissants from last week had been reheated five times, the coffee was a 6 out of 10, and there were no cold cuts. The only fruit was apples and bananas, along with butter, jam, bread, yogurt, and orange juice.
