La Casa de Tounens

The fully equipped kitchen even let us make empanadas, and the breakfast was generous and delicious. We spent a week in the private room in late May and loved the place. Vince was always happy to share information and recommendations. Friends who had stayed before suggested it to us, and we’d gladly recommend this clean, beautifully decorated, homey hostel to other travellers. Best of all, we saw whales even though we arrived before the season started.

Vincent kindly let me keep my room until I left, since my bus was at night. I stayed at his house for more than 10 days, and he worked hard to make sure I was comfortable. It’s cozy and has what you need: a clean kitchen, comfortable bed, and free breakfast for a great price. The location is convenient for getting around on foot, two minutes from the bus terminal, 5-10 minutes from about five supermarkets, and eight minutes from the beach. Thank you, Vincent!

Vincent responds very quickly on WhatsApp and makes an effort to attend to everyone, which I really appreciated. This isn’t a perfect hostel, but I can tell he’s trying hard to give us the best he can. It’s one of the cheapest dorms I could find, and he could have raised the price but didn’t. Breakfast is just toast, but it’s nutritious toast with nuts, and the orange juice is one of the best brands in Argentina. I noticed all the little details he takes care of. Thanks again!

Vincent and Camille are amazing hosts, and the private beer collection is one of the most impressive I’ve seen. This is one of the best hostels I’ve stayed at in Argentina. Highly recommended.
