The breakfast buffet had a nice range of fresh fruit, coffee, pastries, eggs, meat, cheese, and the best brown bread I’ve found in Argentina. The staff were warm and always happy to answer questions. From our room, the sea views were breathtaking, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The room suited a short stay well. Some bathroom fixtures are dated, and it took a while to get the shower temperature right, but everything worked. We had a wonderful time despite some mixed reviews, and we’re coming back next weekend.

We found lovely long walks in both directions from the hotel, with beautiful scenery and real quiet. The room’s sea view was great, it was a reasonable size, and it had its own patio. It was much calmer on Saturday and Sunday, so sitting out and taking in the view was far more pleasant. The restaurant is light and airy, and though breakfast is basic, there’s enough to eat. We had dinner there because there are very few other places nearby, and it was actually very good. For my birthday, they even gave us each a glass of bubbly! The staff were friendly and helpful, and reception could speak English. When we first arrived, the area was packed and the hotel looked a bit tired and downmarket, but it grew on us over our two nights.

Las Restingas is right at the beach, which is a great location, but the hotel feels worn out. Our room was spacious and clean, though it had a strange chemical smell and could use an overhaul. Breakfast was plain but fine for us, while the bar service was so-so. It may be the only decent hotel in Puerto Piramides, so it served its purpose, but 9.000 pesos for a cappuccino really felt like too much.

We had a sea view room and really enjoyed our two nights here last week. The weather let us down for one day, but Netflix on the TV kept us occupied. Breakfast was quite nice, and the staff were very friendly. I’d happily stay again if I’m in town.

The rooms are large enough and clean, and breakfast is basic but covers what you need. The TV is big, even if the cables hang all over the place, and it does the job. It’s the only entertainment in the room. There’s no insulation, so expect plenty of noise from around 5 am, depending on the tides, and the walls are thin. Staff weren’t necessarily bad, but at 21.00 pm they were using an electric drill just outside my wall. When I asked if they could do it in the morning, they looked at me as if I were being completely irrational. Honestly, the stay would have been more than OK since you come to Piramides for the nature, if it weren’t for the staggering price of 240 USD a night. In Patagonia that can get you an insane amount of luxury. I wouldn’t recommend it, since there are tons of other accommodation choices that might be just as good or bad and maybe 4 or 5 times cheaper. I’d call it a "1 to 2 star hotel that is priced as a high-end suite in a 4 or 5 star hotel".
