La Naranjita

The whole stay was awful. It wasn't even the apartment we'd originally agreed on. He'd forgotten we'd changed the reservation and gave us this other one, supposedly with more amenities. The guy was rude, had an excuse for everything, and eventually called us filthy when we asked for a discount after all that, even though the apartment was the one left in that state. It was filthy. There was a mug full of cigarette butts and grime under the bed, along with a vacuum. One room reeked of cigarettes and the others smelled damp. The hot water didn't work, and we literally had to cut the shower key. We asked for a heater, but he never replied to our message. Then he came into the apartment to leave one while we were out, without warning us.

We'd booked four months ahead, but only the day before they told us we'd need to bring our own sheets and towels. The worst part came when we arrived with our child and family: no one was there. When we called, they said they'd canceled, and it was almost midnight. Then they hung up on us. Incompetent, dishonest, and heartless. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

For the price, the place is decent, and the owner is attentive and quick to answer requests. The kitchen, though, was short on plates and cutlery. It was also a bit dirty. There was a pan with oil and food scraps in the oven, for example.

The TV was nice, with cable and Netflix, but that's about the only thing I liked. The owner was accommodating, yet I wouldn't come back. It costs way too much for a place with dirt everywhere, and sheets and towels cost extra despite being very poor quality. I was on the second floor, and those stairs were incredibly uncomfortable, maybe 40 cm wide, with no railings. Be careful, you could fall. I don't know how the City Council approved the design. Sunlight comes in everywhere, even through the curtains. The heating only reaches upstairs, so downstairs is freezing. There's no cutlery or kitchen utensils either. Two stars from me.
