The room and bathroom were basic, which was expected for the price, but we did expect them to be clean. Instead, the place was very dirty, and there was black mould in the bedroom, with several spots where it looked like someone had painted over it. I don’t understand the high ratings.

The staff were lovely, and the Wi-Fi was strong. The place was clean, good value, and well located. After checking out, we could still use the shared areas and the little garden on our last day because our night bus out of Salta left late. We stayed for two nights and would strongly recommend it.

There’s a comfortable sofa lounge upstairs, and the staff are nice. The location is convenient, a short way from the main square. It’s a simple hostel and not especially clean, but the bathroom has hot water, the internet is fast, and they serve a sweet breakfast in the morning.
