My room had no natural light, and the decor looked worn out. The whole place felt dated and gloomy. There was a mini fridge sitting on top of another one that didn't work.

The price felt too high. I don't know how or when it got four stars, since I've stayed in better two-star hotels. The building and rooms are old, and the pillows are terrible. The air conditioner in my room didn't work, and it was part of a centralized system, which is unhealthy even in the best conditions and worse during Covid. The upsides are the location, a small amount of parking, and clean rooms. Around the corner, near the garage, the hotel itself looks messy.

The breakfast was ordinary, and the rooms we rented had stained bed linens and dusty bathrooms. There wasn't any shower gel either. This hotel really doesn't deserve a four-star rating. The photos show the different problems.

Breakfast was plentiful, and the staff were very polite. The facilities are lovely too. Collins Avenue is a great location, about three blocks from the beach.

It feels like a hotel from the '90s, with quite old furniture, though they're making a real effort to bring it up to date. It was clean. I can't really judge whether the price was fair since I didn't pay for it.
