Hostal Travellers

The owner and her daughter were pleasant and very attentive. It's suitable for a night or two. The room floor is old and needs polishing, and could use a sweep. Breakfast was very simple, though the price makes sense for that.

The rooms are spacious and the Wi-Fi is good, and the location is convenient. But there isn't a proper place to leave your belongings while waiting, other than the hall. It's an old house with no suitable guest space, shared with the other residents. Service wasn't the best, and breakfast was very poor, just water crackers with coffee or tea.

I only stayed one night, luckily, and didn't like it. The hotel is near the terminal, which is why we picked it, but the room was horribly decorated and the pillows had no cases. One of the girls' rooms was incredibly dirty, so we used a towel to lean on and sleep. There was debris in a bathroom cabinet, and a pipe in the adjoining room was broken and leaking, with a bucket placed underneath. The air conditioning only worked at 16 degrees Celsius. There was no cable service to speak of: it froze, and we couldn't change channels. Wi-Fi was poor too. Breakfast was very basic, and there was no dining room, just tables at the entrance. If all the guests were there, there clearly wasn't enough space. Even the plants used as centerpieces weren't watered. It was really grim. I had also asked on WhatsApp whether the hotel had two floors, meaning whether we'd need to climb stairs, and was told no. When we arrived, there were stairs, which made carrying our suitcases difficult, and of course nobody helped.

I was happy with the service, and the three women who looked after us were very hospitable. The room was lovely and spacious, with a street view, and the sheets and towels were clean. The coffee with milk was delicious, though the breakfast could be better. Since it's hot now, a smoothie, yogurt, cold milk, or seasonal fruit would be nice. Thank you!
