Hotel Inkai

There was no window in the small room, and the bathroom felt about the size of an airplane toilet. Its door wouldn’t shut. The linens and pillows were poor quality, as if they’d already been worn out years ago, and maintenance seemed neglected throughout.

A pleasant stay, with kind staff. The economy room was a good deal.

I only had one full day in Salta, and that really wasn't enough. The city is beautiful, so I wish I'd stayed longer. The hotel itself is lovely and the staff are nice, but a few things kept this from being a five-star stay. I was on the ground floor, where the large windows face the atrium. Someone could get into the room through those windows, including the one in the shower room. After housekeeping, I came back to find a window wide open. I wasn't sure how safe that was, though keeping it shut could leave the air feeling stale. Also, as another guest mentioned, putting both the hotel name and room number on the key bracelet doesn't seem safe. It's around a 20-minute walk from the main square.

The breakfast was delicious, and the service was excellent. Our room and bathroom were both roomy, and the mattress was firm but comfortable. There was Netflix on the TV, too. The hotel is nine blocks from the old town center. Just around the corner is a lively street with restaurants, some with live music and dancers. The airport is about a 20-minute drive away. A lovely place to stay.
