The shower pressure was weak and the hot water never came. The fan was so feeble I couldn’t feel it, and the rooms were very basic for what we paid. We had to leave the hostal after an hour because our plans changed, but there was no willingness at all to discuss a proportional refund. Don’t stay here.
The room was spotless, with cleaning service and everything needed for a comfortable stay. The owners were friendly and very attentive, and the best thing is how close it is to everything. Street parking is paid: the municipality charges $600 an hour from 8 am to 9 pm, so keep that in mind!
The employee who welcomed my parents that evening was lovely, but the owners’ service was terrible. I hadn’t read the reviews beforehand, and my parents had to put up with it. The owner smoked in the hallways and shouted without considering the guests. People come here to rest and pay for comfort and peace and quiet, which is supposedly what’s offered, but it was the complete opposite. They need to be more empathetic and improve their customer service.
It’s an economical option compared with other hotels, near a very nice little plaza. The room had air conditioning with both hot and cold settings, plus a bathroom. Hot water was available whenever you asked. Breakfast costs extra and needs to be requested in advance. Towels, soap, and blankets were provided.
The bed linens and towels were old and stained, and the owner’s service was awful: arrogant, rude, and very noisy. Getting any rest was impossible. I wouldn’t recommend it at all.
