The hotel is small, with only about six rooms, but it feels spacious and peaceful. I loved how they kept the colonial style while adding modern comforts like air conditioning and a swimming pool. The location is excellent, just off the main square and near the best bars and restaurants. The nearby Pulperia, a traditional bar, feels like stepping back in time and is well worth a visit. Fatima, Norma and Lucas make a welcoming, accommodating team, along with the lovely hosts.

The room had a humid smell, perhaps because of the recent flood. Otherwise, the hotel is quiet and relaxing, with outstanding service. It’s well placed, two blocks from the main square and one block from a great restaurant and bar. There’s a swimming pool, free bicycles to borrow, and breakfast is included.

My son and I had a great stay at the Hotel Antigua. The pool was fun, and breakfast was the best. Hotel Antigua Casona is only two blocks from the main square, with a restaurant around the corner and a traditional bar, a pulperia, right at the corner. Thanks, we’ll be back! :)

The ladies are so welcoming, attentive, and helpful, and they make a delicious homemade breakfast. The place is excellent, close to everything, and definitely worth a stay.
