Los Narcisos has become my favorite place in Buenos Aires. I usually prefer renting a house for a short break from the city, nature, and a bit of rest, though that can mean giving up some comforts. Here, all the little details have been thought through, and it feels as if you're the first person to live in the house. Every corner has something charming to discover. It's a colonial-style country house with original features, including furniture in excellent condition and portraits of important figures from the city. The veranda made an impression as soon as we arrived. It was bare-tree season, so we couldn't enjoy the sunshine there as much as we hope to next time, and we'd love to see the oaks in full leaf. Inside, the period furniture and giant fireplace in the living and dining room give the place a warm feel, even though the fireplace seemed mostly decorative. Scented candles and herb bouquets were lovely touches, and the immaculate, fully equipped kitchen made me want to cook something for the afternoon. If you don't feel like cooking, Mariana has breakfast waiting: abundant, complete, and delicious. Then there was the room. I wanted to stay forever. The decor was wonderful, the bed incredibly comfortable, with a down comforter and a pillow made for sweet dreams. The bathroom was spotless. Mariana had thought of everything, including a hair dryer, shampoo, and eggs to cook in the morning. There was also a perfectly ripe avocado, juice, yogurt, and granola. Mariana, where did you find those strawberries? They couldn't believe it! The carbon monoxide detector, fantastic heating, shower with good water pressure, scented towels, and antique china all added to that feeling of being thoroughly pampered. The hosts are delightful and live on the same property. Their presence made us feel that everything would be taken care of and nothing would be missing. Fito, the third host, is adorable, soft, and well-behaved 🥰. We'll definitely be back.
