Gran Bahía Resort

The only thing I can praise is the reception girl's attention. We left because the room was so uncomfortable and dirty. It smelled, had no ventilation, and the sheets had holes. When we said it was hot, they brought a fan covered in grime. There was no air conditioning, and my little boy has asthma. They refused to refund any of our payment, not even part of it. At least I’d only booked one night. I don’t recommend it. The photos show one thing, but the reality is different. For the same price, we spent the night at Hotel San remo, a five-star hotel right next to this disgrace.

Sleep was out of the question until at least 3 a.m. when we visited in January 2025, thanks to the karaoke bar next door. The beach is close, which is the one redeeming thing about the location. The place looks like it had better days, and the photos they post aren’t current. Our room had no air conditioning or even a fan, and the bathroom was covered in mold. Cleanliness was nonexistent. Breakfast was disgusting: they call it “self-service,” but you pour your own coffee, milk, or hot water from thermoses dirtier than the sidewalk. You also have to wait for the manager to bring them, so breakfast only runs from 9 to 11 a.m. There was just one person at reception and no cleaning staff. A terrible experience.

Half a block from the beach was such a treat, and our room was really comfortable. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the management staff were so helpful. They even gave us the number for a very affordable taxi. We were so happy with the stay and will be back for another vacation soon. ❤️

The hotel is family-friendly, with access to the pedestrian street and beach, and the cleanliness was impeccable. From our arrival, the receptionist greeted us warmly and served us a very comfortable breakfast. The service overall was very good, especially the friendliness of the person who welcomed us.
