El Refugio Ski & Summer Lodge 1484

We only had two nights here, unfortunately, but could easily have stayed a few more. It’s beautiful and so relaxing. The service was amazing, and everyone was really nice and helpful. We joined the hotel's guided walk in the National Park, which I recommend. The guide was cheerful and wonderful. I’m sorry I forgot her name. Her English wasn't very good, and we barely speak Spanish, but we managed to understand each other with Google, gestures, and the few words we knew. One little thing that meant a lot: she stopped to pick up a small piece of trash from the ground. It was great to see how much she values and respects nature. A few things to know: it’s quite remote, and the well-maintained dirt road goes there. You can’t buy anything on site, so bring what you need. They do have a restaurant for food. It was summer, which is construction time, and there were some improvements underway. That didn't bother us, and it was nice to see them renovating and improving.

Our favorite breakfast of the South America trip! The new villas are in the best location, and the indoor-outdoor pool, jacuzzi and steam sauna are superb.

The apartments were amazing, and we loved our stay, 10/10. I booked after seeing the cute houses with a view on AirBnB and thought the price covered just the apartment, but breakfast and access to the spa, including the pool, saunas and gym, were included too. Christian at reception was really nice, and so were the maintenance guys. One of our snow chains broke while we were driving up, and they fixed it for us for free.
