STAY AWAY!!! My room had a leaking ceiling, and nobody even came to help me.
The place is in one of the most beautiful spots on the planet, close to everything, and it gave me stories I'll remember for a long time. The person replying to reviews deserves to do stand-up, they're a genius. Those "constructive" reviews are terrifying, but they made me laugh because nobody warned me, and then I experienced it myself. At least I wasn't cold and the water was hot. The price is extremely high for what you get, including the quality of the place and service. Maybe the three stars are because we're world champions. I'm a world champion too. The facilities were rough. The ceiling fan was hanging from the rafters on an ugly adjustable bracket, like the kind we used 20 years ago to put bookshelves together. Of the four electrical outlets, only one worked. There were faceplates being used as decoration, along with several screws for the little electrical box parts that attach outlets to the wall. They don't provide shampoo or sell it, which is unbelievable. I don't need much, I have very little hair and I'm a kid, and I wash it with soap, if I wash it at all. The only hair dryer in the county is shared and kept at reception, so you have to ask for it. I suppose if it isn't there, you'd need to fill out a form to book a time. You have to plan ahead, because if you wash your hair without shampoo, there's no way to dry it. We weren't expecting an Artemis II hair dryer, but plugging it into the only working outlet interfered with the TV. It was awful. For a while I thought I was being sent to another dimension or receiving some indecipherable message from the Artemis. A welder in that same outlet probably would have caused less interference. I was afraid to open the wardrobe, but did anyway. Everything was loose and easy to take apart. There were hairs on the sheets that weren't mine. I know what sleeping in a tent in inhumane conditions is like, but it still startled me a little. The windows had an old curtain rod holder that looked clearly cut off. It reminded me of being a kid, when we were lucky to have rice to eat, and we'd put a little wire across it in an X so it wouldn't fall. Old things work, JUAN! As for the Wi-Fi, internet, connection, connectivity, WhatsApp, all of it, they told me in San Miguel de Allende that the Wi-Fi signal is intermittent. What does that have to do with an internal problem? It has nothing to do with the internet provider. I nearly burst out laughing. Excellent answer. Parking is like Jenga. Better to leave your car 10 blocks away. If you want to get it out, do it at 10:00 AM sharp, when everyone else is fleeing in terror. If you have a truck, getting parked without breaking anything will level up your skills, and you'll leave with a professional driver's license. Breakfast brought back what I was told as a kid, that the cream on cow's milk was very nutritious. It always disgusted me. Even at all the hotels I've stayed in that weren't exactly world champions, I'd never been served milk with cream. Here was my first time, and there was a generous amount. If you like cream, this is the place for you. There was toast, well, it's toast, and croissants that broke when I tried to cut one in half, plus red jam and another that looked like peach. The miscellaneous breakfast stuff was ugly, but it did its job and didn't bother me. The Shining Hotel scared me less. I understand I got the marginal side, the West Side, or maybe I got the VIP? We paid 130k for two people. It wasn't a bargain.
It's okay for one night, but they treat you as if they're doing you a favor. The night shift man got angry when I went out to the garage and needed them to open it, because I hadn't put a stick in to lock the door. It doesn't open from the outside. During the day, the person on duty reminded us five times that everyone had to move their cars at 8:30 so we wouldn't hit anyone else's.
I felt ripped off. We paid 145,000 pesos for one night and didn't even get shampoo. Breakfast was just two pieces of toast and a croissant with tea. The internet went out at midnight and never came back.
We came because they promised parking, but then wouldn't let us park our car. None of the inn's staff were helpful, and when we went to bed, there was hair all over the pillows and sheets, as if they hadn't been washed. We politely asked if breakfast could be served an hour earlier, but they couldn't do that either. A really disappointing stay. I absolutely don't recommend this place.
