The staff who served us were the one bright spot, far more attentive and friendly than the rest of the experience. We’d paid in full for five nights, but on arrival the manager said the room was lower quality and that three days of our stay had been canceled because it had been rented to someone else. They offered the price difference for those days so we could find other lodging, even though it was a long weekend and almost nowhere was available. Only after three days, when we threatened to report the scam, did they finally pay for us to stay somewhere else. The owner was on the property but never contacted us.

The power and internet went out in a storm just as we arrived. With no Wi-Fi, no staff there, and no working phone signal, we were stranded. The next day the water was shut off, and nobody fixed it, not even enough for us to flush the toilet. There was no one to greet us either, just a cleaning woman who showed up late. Our room was completely dark, and I couldn't open the windows. The place felt abandoned, with guests left on their own. I don't recommend it at all.

The park-like grounds were lovely, and the chocolates were delicious. I thought the wine was expensive at $1850 a bottle. Maybe it was very good and worth the price, but they didn't let us taste it. I would've bought it if it had been really good. They also didn't show me around the winery, even though it was open during business hours.

We arrived at Finca La Encantada to find it couldn't host us: there was a short circuit, the heating was out, and it was -2°C. We had already booked a room and transferred half the total, so we had to leave and find somewhere else. The manager said our money would be refunded, then refused to explain further. It's a SCAM!!!

The breakfasts looking out toward the distant mountains are a picture I'll remember forever. This old Mexican-style farmhouse has rooms furnished with period pieces, lovely grounds, a pool, and a multipurpose room. The whole place is peaceful, a great spot to step away from the system for a few days and reconnect with what matters. Mariola, Dario, Rebeca, Vanesa, and Liliana gave excellent service.
