As a retired Canadian couple traveling around South America for eight months, we didn't enjoy staying here. The owner handled our decision to leave professionally and understood, letting us pay for just one night even though we'd booked two. The road nearby slopes past the rooms, and vehicle noise came through loudly until around midnight, then started again at about 5 a.m. Dogs barked overnight, and music from a nearby property went on until 2 a.m. Inside, the lights were very dim. The shower looked fancy, but pressure was weak and the jets didn't work well. A sticker said the fridge was out of order, though there was a smaller, older working fridge in the room. Breakfast was only average, with lots of bread. The property looked more worn than its photos suggested. We took the example photos after arriving, when the bed had already been made, to show the linen compared with the picture we'd seen on Booking.com.

Carolina is a caring, sweet host who pays attention to the details and looks after both the property and her guests. The room was spacious, lovely, and comfortable, with an amazing view. Such a gem!

You can sit outside and take in the sweeping view of the hills, with the lake visible too, and have some mate. There's even a hammock. The rooms are roomy, and breakfast is delicious. The staff are incredibly warm and friendly, the kind of welcome you rarely come across. It's a wonderful place, and easy to access.

Caro is a fantastic host. If you need anything extra, she will surely help, and she's exceptionally kind. The place is also convenient: restaurants and small markets are close by, and you can walk to the town center. The beds are comfortable, and the roomy rooms come with dishes, a coffee maker, an electric kettle, and a small fridge. The showers are lovely, and there are grills and outdoor areas. The panoramic view of Tafí is spectacular. Highly recommended.

Caro made us feel right at home, and even treated us to a delicious homemade pasta lunch. The two sheep that behave like dogs gave the place a fun, unusual touch. We'd definitely come back. La Posada de Tafí, at Route 307, Km 62, has just four spacious cabins. They're very comfortable for families, with one double bed and two singles, and the service feels personal. We enjoyed the garden, mountain, and lake views, and waking up to a homemade breakfast was a real pleasure. There is a flat-screen TV, private bathroom, and parking. Perfect for a getaway, 100% recommended!
