La casa del abuelo

The bidet was left loose, almost like a decoration, and my son fell near it. Thankfully the old ceramic was sturdy, because if it had broken he could have been cut. No one warned us about it. He was also on the floor without toilet paper, calling out for me to help. The whole place felt dirty and neglected, and the area was quiet but a long way from the center. There was no light outside the front door, so arriving at night meant using a phone to unlock it. Bushes and bugs surrounded the house. Although the listing said two bedrooms, one bed was in a room and the other was in the living room, which you had to cross to leave. We couldn't unpack because there was nowhere to put clothes: one closet was locked and the other full of dirty things. The only air conditioner was in the kitchen. The outlets were old and in poor condition. Three adapters were in use: one shared by the refrigerator, microwave, and TV, which only picked up two outside channels, another by a nightstand, and another for the air conditioner. It felt dangerous.

The owners were great, which made the setup a shame. There was one double bedroom, while the other was closed off. My son slept on a bunk in the entrance; the mattress was awful and you could feel the wooden frame underneath. The TV had no cable, and only two channels came in from outside.

A couple of things need attention. If a place is advertised as having two bedrooms, it should actually have two.

The house was really tidy, and the owners were so helpful. We had a great stay.
