Wyndham Nordelta Tigre Buenos Aires

The staff were reasonably friendly, but the hotel was in atrocious condition, dangerously dilapidated, and horribly maintained. We stayed there during our wedding. Nobody answered the phone, the bathroom shower flooded, there were no phones in the rooms, and there was no parking. Shocking for $200-300+ per night, with quality more like 1-2 stars.

The underground parking is great, with direct elevator access. The condos are comfortable, and the marina view is really nice. The building could use some maintenance, though: there are cracks in the exterior stucco and the paint needs attention. The gym is nice and you can pay right at the entrance, but some of the equipment needs repair.

Want to feel like you're in a chapter of "Prison Break"? Try spending a night at Wyndham Tigre. My wife and I stayed there, and hot water was only available until 11 pm. There wasn't even a way to call the front desk because the rooms have no phones.

The staff were polite and helpful, and they responded quickly when I reported that the blackout curtains in my first room had a problem and the sheets were dirty. They apologized and moved me, but the new room felt like a downgrade: the bed and armchair were smaller, and there were fewer coat hangers. There wasn't any stationery, and the pen was broken, too. I don't blame housekeeping. They're human, and I understand mistakes happen. What bothered me most was how it was handled. After giving me a bad room, they should have offered one at the same level or better. An apology followed by a worse room doesn't feel like good customer service. I hope the rest of my stay gets better.
