We were very happy with our family stay and will definitely come back. The service was excellent, breakfast was complete, and the rooms were clean with spotless bathrooms. There’s a kitchen for cooking and a shared fridge. Thanks for everything! Claudia, Alberto, Lisandro, and Bruno (6 years old).

The attention was excellent, and everyone was very attentive. Breakfast is included, and downtown Tilcara is only a few blocks away. Highly recommended.

The staff’s kindness made our stay wonderful, especially with my autistic child. The owner turns on the heater in the shared space, and the nephews who work there and the woman preparing breakfast were also attentive. I won’t name them because I don’t want to get them in trouble. The location is excellent, and the shared breakfast area is pleasant. The breakfast is tasty, too, and the staff do their best, but the owner needs to provide what’s advertised. My main difficulty was dealing with the owner. She seemed focused on collecting payment, didn’t explain things clearly, and we had to keep asking for everything. We were there during one of the coldest weeks in years, and only learned heaters were available thanks to the staff. She also didn’t tell us to leave the keys for cleaning. She kept saying to take them for security, then said it was a shame we hadn’t left them so they could check on us. The bathrooms were quite average. Hot water wasn’t always available, and when it was, the plastic taps were hard to adjust and felt like they might break. There was no toilet paper, soap, or anything else, despite these being advertised as services. The owner lent a limited number of towels, one per two people, as I saw with other visitors. Our bed was comfortable, but the room had no glass windows, and cold came in through the gaps. The thin, badly cut plywood door also let cold air through, so it was hard to keep the room warm. Heaters weren’t always available either. Better upkeep of the rooms and bathrooms is needed, along with personal hygiene. There are only two bathrooms for 5/6 rooms of 2 to 6 people, and sometimes people had to use private bathrooms when there was no water. An extra shared bathroom would help. The bathrooms are also very airy because the wooden doors are thin and cracked, so I’d suggest rooms facing the patio in milder weather, and without children. Wi-Fi worked only one day in the courtyard rooms. Air conditioning.

It felt like a total rip-off. The promises weren’t true, the breakfast was mediocre, and the employees seemed unsure what they were doing. The owner seemed to care only about making money. We paid for a room with a private bathroom, but there was no hot water, and they wanted me to use the shared bathroom with my 6-month-old baby. When we left, we put the keys on the counter and the employee didn’t even say goodbye. If you want a cold shower, go there. Don’t stay. Trust me.

The one good thing is how close it is to the center. We stayed four nights and never managed to get a decent shower, just a stream of boiling water, and then we had to mop the floor. We booked through Booking.com, which didn’t even show a bathroom photo, probably for the best. The toilet paper felt like sandpaper, nobody came in to clean or replace towels, and the walls were cracked, peeling, and damp. The pillows were like stones. Their “breakfast” was three slices of untoasted bread, a little butter and jam, plus three slices each of banana and apple per room, not per person. We asked to borrow an umbrella during heavy rain, but they wouldn’t lend us one. I don’t recommend it at all.
