The hosts gave excellent service, and the breakfast was fantastic. I especially loved the orange juice. The hotel is very accessible, two blocks uphill from the church. Just be aware that the only downstairs room picks up everything happening upstairs. I’d definitely come back.

The service was incredible, and Patricia, Nora, and Juan were always ready to help. This is a very quaint hotel with basic amenities. There’s no TV in the room, which in some ways is probably for the best. The bathroom is lovely, and the shower water is wonderful.

The Refugio has loads of charm, and I highly recommend it. We stayed three nights a few days ago. Our room was clean, fine, and well equipped, and the staff were very friendly. They even let us stay for several hours after checkout. Breakfast was quite complete and typical for the area, with pastries, fruit, juice, bread, butter, and sweets. It didn’t include eggs, cheese, or cold cuts. The hotel is a little uphill from the center, a few blocks from the main square.
