Casa De Huespedes Gimenez Riili

The food was a real highlight, especially the included buffet breakfast. It was superb, with a chef making eggs the way we wanted and a great range of delicious homemade dishes. The Gimene Riili restaurant is also a unique dining experience you don’t want to miss. The free bikes were great for riding around the vineyard and visiting the other bodegas in the complex. We also loved the beautiful pool and the caring, friendly staff. I have to say every one of them was outstanding. The location is breathtaking. Each day the mountain view seemed new, with a magnificent backdrop to the Gimenez Riili vineyards and house. The founders run and manage this stunning bodega, and everything felt so thoughtfully done. The Giménez Riili Casa Huéspedes experience will stay with me for the rest of my life. It’s absolutely a must if you travel to Mendoza.

We were right among the region’s nicest wineries, and the mountain view was unbelievable. The rooms and lounge have a rustic but modern feel. Food, wine, staff, and accommodations were all amazing. My only regret is not staying longer. I’ll be back, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay or just stop by for wine and lunch!

The six-course lunch left us very satisfied, with plenty to eat and drink. Their wine pairing was generous, and they offered refills of everything. This family-owned winery does a terrific job showcasing its wines alongside the food. Looking out at the still snow-capped mountains under clear skies made the setting feel magical. Highly recommended.

We were woken around midnight by a horrible screeching noise in the room. It turned out to be a cricket stuck in the closet. There was nothing anyone could do about the noise, and crickets right by your head are VERY VERY LOUD. We couldn’t ignore it. We had to ask for bug spray, then find and kill the cricket ourselves. The whole thing took an hour. Not once did anyone say they were sorry, offer to make things right, or mention compensation in the morning. The experience was miserable. Earlier, after a long day of wine tasting and the sunset drinks they promote, we were hungry. The drinks weren’t that great, to be honest. We were told we could order through the front desk on WhatsApp and have food brought to our room. An hour after ordering one salad to share, we still had nothing. When we texted, the front desk told us only then that the order had been canceled because the kitchen was too busy serving other guests. My husband and I had so many problems during our stay last night, and nobody took action or offered compensation. Don’t stay here!
