Pudulodge Hotel

We felt welcome as soon as we arrived at the lodge. Our group of five had a lovely stay, and Victoria at reception made it even better with her warmth and genuine care. When our luggage had been soaked inside and out at the previous hotel, she helped arrange laundry and made a stressful problem much easier. She also lent us adaptors for our chargers and gave us useful recommendations, clear directions for maps, places to visit, and tours. The location was so convenient, right beside the entrance to Fitz Roy and close to El Muro, where we had some of the best food of our trip. There’s luggage storage, too, and breakfast is free. I also lost my wallet, but someone found it in the parking lot. Pudu Lodge went out of its way to get it back to me. Someone drove all the way from El Chaltén to El Calafate to mail it, and it arrived quickly. I’m truly grateful for the outstanding service. Highly recommend staying here. Thank you, Victoria, and thank you to the person who made the two-hour trip to send my wallet. Gracias por todo!

You come to Chaltén to hike by day, then eat and drink at night, and this hotel works perfectly for that. It’s close to plenty of restaurants, bars, and trailheads. It’s not the Ritz, but that’s not what you come here for.

We’d go back. The room was nice and had its own bathroom, and they also provide tea and coffee. Breakfast was very good, and reception speaks English.

The bathrooms are very small, but the rooms were clean and comfortable. It’s a nice hotel right beside the trailhead, with a good, simple breakfast.
