We had a double room with a kitchenette and stayed for four nights after a lot of traveling. It was just right for us, since we like cooking instead of eating out all the time. The room was spacious, with a modern, fabulous bathroom and heated floors throughout. We also enjoyed relaxing in the shared area and cooking steaks over a fire outside in the garden. The staff were lovely. Some people may find the walk to “central town” a bit much, but we enjoyed it, and it’s still only a few blocks from the Main Street. There’s a supermarket, great cafes and bakeries, and restaurants right on that side. We thought those restaurants were better than the touristy-looking, overpriced ones in the main area. I wonder if some of the reviews were written before the place was updated.

The room was very comfortable, and we had a warm shower and a good breakfast. The family are friendly, too. We had a great stay.

The staff are pleasant, the breakfast is good, and the common spaces have a cute design. Just keep your expectations in check, since this isn’t even a three-star place. It’s built with gypsum board and metal sheets, so drafts get in, the wind and neighbors make noise, and the walls are thin.

Luis was a perfect host, very kind and helpful. The beds were cozy, with nice pillows and blankets, and the shower was decent. There’s also a little kitchen for cooking. Breakfast was nice and all you can eat and drink, though it was much the same each day. It’s a five-minute walk to a supermercado and the good restaurant El Mercadito next door. The bus stations where tours start are 15-20 minutes away on foot, and the port for boat tours is another five minutes beyond that.
