The welcome at Hosteria Mi Vida felt like being taken in by family. The staff were warm and helpful, and the rooms and bathrooms were clean. We enjoyed a good breakfast, plus a really tasty beef steak for dinner, cooked by the owner, who is also the chef. There's a supermarket only a few hundred meters down the road. The single beds seemed a little small to me, and during a storm we felt a draft from the windows. Even so, I'd definitely recommend Hosteria Mi Vida.

The owners are attentive and interesting people, but the internet was almost unusable throughout my four-day stay. Everyone in my group noticed the same thing, as did other guests. I eventually moved to a hotel around the corner, where the connection was great and the prices were much more reasonable. After talking with others, I also realized that the accommodation and meals at Mi Vida are overpriced.

The wifi was poor, though I had LTE, so that only took a little off my rating. The showers had good pressure and plenty of hot water, and the meals were quite good. A friendly, welcoming couple runs the hotel. I stayed four nights. It's in a quiet spot outside the town center, and a taxi cost me $5.

The rooms are roomy, the beds comfortable, and breakfast was tasty. This family-run place also has lovely scenery, with views of the river and Beagle Channel. It's about an hour's walk from downtown Ushuaia, but getting a cab is easy and inexpensive. Thank you, Roger, for being such a kind and helpful host!
