Hotel Monaco

Fair prices and a good location, but the hotel was just okay for the price. For some strange reason, they removed the room thermostat, so you can’t control the heating. Breakfast wasn’t anything special.

The towels and sheets were stained, despite being white, and when I raised it, the response was basically, “That’s how they all are, sorry.” Breakfast had no vegetarian options, even though that had been guaranteed when I booked. They also charged extra to hold our luggage after checkout. The front desk service was awful. Never again.

The location is excellent, and breakfast was good. The building is only partly renovated, so some rooms are new and others are older, though both kinds were clean. Our room was warm and we couldn’t change the temperature, even after asking reception twice. Breakfast staff could be friendlier and didn’t always seem happy to be there.

The rooms and the building itself were okay, though nothing special. The real problem was the service. Reception, housekeeping, and the kitchen staff were rude, grumpy, and gave off a bad attitude. We paid an extra $ 50,000.- to check out later, but they still didn’t clean our room. It had been recommended to me, which makes this even more disappointing. I would never stay here again. They need to change the receptionists, housekeeping staff, and the short bald man in the kitchen. People, be careful and don’t get fooled. This place leaves a lot to be desired.
