Ariel, the owner, was happy to help with anything we needed and give us advice about Ushuaia. The breakfast was great, and the kitchen was very functional. The room and bathroom were clean, the bed was comfortable, and there was heating and hot water. They provide two towels. It’s about a half-hour walk to the city center and marina, with a bus stop nearby. The airport isn’t far, and a taxi should cost no more than 500-600 pesos (November 2022).
We had a great time here. The hostel owner was really nice and always happy to help with anything. The atmosphere was lovely, and the rooms and kitchen were clean and nice. It was very cozy and quiet.
He charges a very high unofficial exchange rate instead of honoring Argentina’s official rate.

The hosts were friendly, and the place was pleasantly warm and fairly clean. For two or three nights, it works well. There’s a shop nearby selling cooked food, which you can keep in the fridge, and I appreciated having that option. I especially liked the coffee and tea at breakfast. Getting around is manageable: it’s about 3 km from town, a pleasant half-hour walk along the promenade. An Uber from near the airport cost 4,000 ars. I travel a lot, so I feel comfortable judging places, and I picked this one for its price and location. My room was missing the table and bedside lamp shown in the photos. I had to leave my things on the floor for one night. When I asked about a table later, they brought one from the next room, which was empty. Breakfast was included, but it was very basic and not especially healthy: bread, butter, and jam, with no fruit, eggs, ham, or cheese. Even an omelet with two eggs or some ham and cheese on bread would have been welcome.
