Villa Brescia Hotel

The food itself was good, but breakfast was a bit awkward. It wasn’t a buffet, so a worker who didn’t speak English had to hand over everything. We also asked for a boxed breakfast because we were leaving just after six in the morning, but the hotel refused, even though it was included in our room price. The other half of our group stayed around the corner and got fruit, two sandwiches, and coffee in a box. Credit to their hotel. The place is dated but comfortable, and the small bathroom doesn’t have a tub.

My room was at street level, and luckily I’m hard of hearing. The rooms are a little dated but fine. The hotel is on the main street, though at the far end, so there’s some walking to reach places. My keycard kept dying, at least once a day.

The location on the main street is handy, and the toilet was clean and fine, with an air dryer. Breakfast was continental and just about right, but the WiFi was very poor. Everything else felt basic and a bit dated, with nothing especially good or bad. It’s okay for a couple of days, though there are better options. Keep in mind that hotels in this area check out at 10 a.m.

It’s a quaint little motel, clean and tidy, and handy for shops and cafes. The port is close enough to walk to. They serve a continental breakfast, though I amused myself by bringing my Nescafe 43.
