We didn’t have a car, but got around perfectly well. The owners were very attentive, and the cabin was lovely and comfortable, with a beautiful pool. It’s in a peaceful, pretty town about 20 km from San Rafael.

The mountain view in the background is beautiful, and 25 de Mayo is a very pretty town. The cabins are roomy and comfortable, though they could use some maintenance. There’s quite a bit of trash left around the surrounding area by other residents, which is a bit of a letdown.

The cabins look nice and have good equipment, though a few things need maintenance, such as broken lounge chairs and dampness. The dogs are a real problem: there are lots of them, and they almost always get into the trash looking for food, which often leaves the shared property dirty. For anyone coming with small children, one of the pools has a very low fence, so it’s unsafe and can’t be used.

Yamile was very kind to us, and I’d definitely come back. The cabins are in a gated community, comfortable, and equipped with everything you need. We were there in April, so we didn’t use the pool, but it was always clean. Downtown San Rafael is a bit far away. Still, 25 de Mayo is a good base for exploring the area if you’re looking for peace and quiet.
