Reading the recent comments makes me so sad. My childhood was spent in that hotel, and I have such lovely memories of it. It was a different time, with different owners. 😘

The location is great, which makes it especially sad that the hotel has fallen into such disrepair. My family and I used to visit years ago, and when I returned this year, it had lost its charm. The owner attended to us, but the place was in very poor condition, with no sign of investment for a long time. The air conditioning didn’t work, and we had to leave the tap running for half an hour before the water got hot. The blankets smelled dirty, and they provided only bath towels, no regular towels. The bathroom was dirty, with hair everywhere, and the shower clearly hadn’t been cleaned. In the middle of summer, the pool was dirty and hadn’t been properly painted. Breakfast was very basic, and what was available depended on when you arrived.

The breakfast was awful, and the juice came from a packet. There was mold in the rooms, no heating, no hot water, and no Wi-Fi. Service was terrible, and the hotel manager shouted constantly and showed a great lack of respect toward women. He is very sexist. One star only so I can post this review.
