Hotel Papyrus

The afternoon receptionist was such a sweet, welcoming person. He greeted us with a smile every time and was kind and cordial from check-in until we left. The waitresses, on the other hand, seemed unpleasant and were often long-faced. The hotel itself was well equipped, with comfortable rooms and a lovely pool. We had to go ask for the air conditioning remote, which was a bit of a hassle, but otherwise we felt comfortable the whole time. We'd definitely come back and highly recommend it.

For the price, I think it's a good place. The rooms are small, but they clean daily while we're there, and that service is included if you ask. I requested the air conditioning remote and handled it myself. The drinks are a little expensive, which I agree with, but you can't expect everything to be perfect and cheap.

The noise from the avenue made it hard to sleep, and the place was very dirty and old, nothing like the nice photos. Breakfast was just pastries and toast. Our bathroom had a leaking toilet that left the whole floor soaked, and the living room sofas were broken. The beds sagged in the middle and had bugs in them. One bit my sister, and I woke up with an allergic reaction on my arms. The pool water was visibly green. A total disaster, I don't recommend it.

Franco at reception was helpful, but I wouldn't stay here again. The double bed was actually two single mattresses pushed together and was extremely uncomfortable. The place needs a lot of work, especially the cleanliness and breakfast. They even charged us for hot water, which should be standard at a hotel this size. For what it costs, it falls far short.
