The view from the hotel is great, and Merlo itself is cute, but we weren't happy with the hotel. The staff weren't very friendly, the beds were awful, and you could feel the mattress springs poking through. The rooms are worn and need an upgrade, the bathrooms are small, and the shower head fell apart. Wi-Fi only worked in the lobby, and even there it was unreliable. Breakfast was decent. We chose it because of the good reviews and actually had to check twice whether we'd found the same place.

The service was a letdown. The staff were respectful, but so curt and inattentive that it wasn’t the customer service I’d expect. The room also needs work: the mattress sagged, the lighting was poor and some bulbs didn’t work, the bathroom fan was extremely loud, and only two or three TV channels came in clearly. The hotel itself is nice, though the trees partly block the mountain view. With so many other options at this price, I’d choose somewhere else next time.

Celeste gave us outstanding service, and everyone else was friendly throughout our stay. The facilities were excellent, too. We booked half-board, which included afternoon tea, and had a wonderful time. Thank you for making our stay so lovely. Hernan Giménez

The homemade food was delicious, and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. We stayed with family and loved the comfort and service from the moment we arrived. We’d definitely come back and recommend the hotel.

The park was lovely for sitting down with some mate, and the staff were especially attentive. The facilities were very good. Dinner was just okay, though, and could be better.
