Residencial Castelar

Our stay was awful. The room smelled so strongly of cigarettes that it was unbearable, especially since we had a 5-month-old baby with us. We asked to move rooms, but were told none were available. At least they let us cancel, so we only stayed one night. The next day, when we checked to see if we’d left anything behind, we found a used condom under the bed. Utterly disgusting. They’d said the room had been thoroughly cleaned, but the cigarette smell was still there, so obviously they lied to us, haha. The pool was filthy too, and stained our bodies wherever we touched it while swimming. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT, ESPECIALLY NOT WITH CHILDREN.

The location was great, with a chicken rotisserie right on the corner. Ines took such good care of us, and we had a lovely few days. It was especially sweet being there for my son's birthday. We'll be back soon!

There's a lot of potential here, and the price is reasonable, but the place is run down. The owner was wonderful and always there when we needed her, and it's close to the historic central square. The room looked like it hadn't been painted since Diego last scored against England, and the TV seemed just as old. A few cobwebs, too. The sliding bathroom door sticks, though a little ingenuity gets it open. The small garden has a pool, and the parking is covered with shade netting.

Inés and her partner were very attentive. I especially liked the outdoor areas, with a grapevine and lots of little trees that made the place feel so relaxing. The pool is beautiful, and the shower has great water pressure.
