The complex is south of Gesell, with long, quieter beaches that are less crowded than the ones near the center. It’s a long way from downtown, though beach access is just steps away, so visitors have to weigh that distance against being close to the water. The beach is very wide in this part of Gesell, so reaching the waterline means a bit of a walk, especially worth keeping in mind for anyone with mobility difficulties. The apartments are comfortable, functional, and nicely set up, with a grill on a deck or balcony. The heated pool is a highlight. A few things could be replaced, like a sheet, blackout curtain, or chair upholstery, but nothing major. Linen changes and cleaning cost extra. The access road to the parking area is steep. If you’re driving, it’s advisable to let some air out of the tires on arrival, to about 20 psi, so you don’t get stuck in the mud on the way into the hotel parking lot.

We stayed six days with our pet and had a really nice time. Our apartment had two balconies, one facing the pool and a back one with a sea view and private grill. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the water pressure was good. The pool was beautiful and we made the most of it. Wi-Fi didn’t work, so we couldn’t watch TV, but that wasn’t a big deal. The only other small hassle was the steep parking lot. The beach is just steps away.

The price doesn’t fit the condition of this place, which needs maintenance throughout. We couldn’t get cold water, so we couldn’t use the toilets or shower. The bathroom has no extractor, and its window is screwed shut, leaving the steam trapped and mold everywhere. We left early after coming back from dinner on Saturday, December 6th, at 11:10 PM, to find police there because a ground-floor apartment had been broken into. Nobody from the property was staying overnight in reception, which felt like a no-man’s land. The manager said she was just filling in, the person in charge wouldn’t answer the phone, and the person I’d transferred money to wasn’t responding either.

We left early. The room had no breakfast, cold water despite being heated, and constant pump noise that kept us awake. Maintenance was lacking everywhere: Room 10 had exposed wires, the apartment light fixtures were broken and missing bulbs, the ceiling was damaged, and the sheets and towels were stained.
