Nice place.

Romina Art Hotel is one block from the beach and two blocks from Avenida 3, with all kinds of shops nearby, including rotisseries, pharmacies, a supermarket, kiosks, bookstores, a market, and restaurants. We stayed in a duplex that was extremely well equipped, and everything worked. The decor and atmosphere were a real plus, especially compared with how drab coastal rentals can be. Magda was lovely from the moment we arrived, and her attitude really stood out. We’re grateful to the whole team in reception, housekeeping, maintenance, and the kitchen. Everyone was attentive and keen to sort out any concerns. We’d definitely return.

My partner, our eight-month-old baby, and I stayed during the last week of December 2025. We left constructive feedback because we hope it helps future guests, but the stay fell short of what we expected from the website photos. Our first room had a faulty ceiling fan and a tiny balcony that didn’t look like the one shown online. They moved us to another room and gave us a standing fan. At checkout, we asked an owner to refund the price difference because the replacement room cost less than the one we’d booked. She said she couldn’t because the first room was in bad condition. She also said we could deal with the heat by opening the windows and didn’t need a fan near the sea. That didn’t make sense to us, especially with a baby. The receptionist was very helpful and the only person who tried to make things more comfortable. She brought us a fan and checked in with us. The bedding and towels were fine, but the bathroom bin was tiny, like a little paint can. One of the owners told us not to put the baby’s diapers in it and to take them outside instead. That seemed illogical when bins are meant for rubbish and housekeeping cleaned daily. We returned from an outing once to find our wallet open and money missing from the room. It was a real shame, particularly since there were safes and we thought our belongings were okay to leave there. Breakfast was disappointing, too: the croissants were hard and seemed days old, the orange juice tasted sour, and the toast was fine. We understand the price was in line with what we were renting and wasn’t expensive, but that doesn’t mean we should have to accept these conditions.

We found this place by chance after leaving somewhere that wasn’t what we expected. It’s full of art and good energy, with comfortable rooms, warm, excellent service, and just a block from the sea. Now we’ve got a lovely place to return to whenever we visit Gesell. Highly recommended.
