El Velero Hotel

The pool was lovely and very well kept, and the shower had excellent pressure. Staff were friendly and helpful. The building’s age shows in a few small room issues, and I do wish there had been air conditioning. Still, it does the job as a beach hotel, and I’d choose it again.

The street-facing room got noisy during the Carnival long weekend. With all the nightlife, we could still hear music and people around 5 a.m., so next time we’ll ask for a room on the other side 😅 Apart from that, we were very happy with the stay. The rooms were comfortable and as expected, cleaned daily, with toiletries left for each of us. The woman who looked after our room was especially kind. The food and breakfast were very good, and every employee, from reception and the waiters to breakfast and cleaning staff, was kind and attentive throughout. We had a very good experience and recommend it.

We had half-board and could pick between two tasty set menus each night. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. Our room was spacious and very clean. There’s a pool too. No air conditioning or hairdryer, but we didn’t need either.

The bathroom was missing a toilet seat and shower curtain, which was inconvenient. Still, the hotel was very clean, the service was very good, and the pool was a great feature, always clean and well maintained. Comfortable and good value for money, with decent food.
