Hotel Merimar

The staff were friendly and gave us space, and the breakfast was very good and varied. I found everything I wanted at Merimar: a comfortable room with a balcony looking out over the sea, a lovely heated pool, and roomy common areas with nice decor. I'll definitely return! The restaurant downstairs was a real highlight, with excellent food at fair prices. It was cheaper than the city center, and as good or better. The hotel sits right on the beach, two blocks from the main pedestrian area, and has a small, well-kept pool. Some rooms have sea views and balconies, and come with a small fridge and air conditioning. Everything was very clean, though the carpet looks dated, maybe because of its color. Reception will heat water for a thermos for free, and there's also a free hot and cold water dispenser. There's plenty of sidewalk parking in front. The windows and fixtures need updating, and the curtains barely open. Breakfast is limited and disappointing: each person gets two croissants, jam, butter, and a slice of cheese and ham, rather than serving themselves from trays like at other hotels. Still, I think it's in line with the price.

We had a lovely stay and will definitely come back. The view was stunning, the pool immaculate, and the rooms very comfortable. The reception team were incredibly friendly, kind, and helpful. The restaurant was delicious, and its staff were just as kind and always ready to help us.

We were traveling with our two-month-old baby and didn't run into a single problem. It felt very welcoming and friendly, and everyone was kind, including guests who'd come from far away. The hotel and restaurant staff were wonderful, humble, and exceptionally friendly, and made us feel comfortable throughout. The hotel is just steps from the beach, a relaxing spot with a beautiful, clean room and a comfortable mattress. It had a mini-fridge, air conditioning, and TV. The double beds may feel small to some, and a few more outlets for charging devices would help. Breakfast was delicious, with croissants, ham, cheese, butter, cream cheese, jam, dulce de leche, toast, tea, coffee, milk, yogurt, cereal, and juice. We chose half-board, which let us pick lunch or dinner. The restaurant is open to the public, serves generous portions with a main course and dessert, and has tasty dishes at reasonable prices. The heated pool was clean and warm, great for windy weather or after the beach, and open from 10 am to 8 pm. There's also a spot to have mate and enjoy the ocean view. It's a great place to stay with children, and has what you need for a relaxing trip. I highly recommend it! 🌊
