The view was the one good part. For the price we paid, I expected decent service, but the experience felt like a rip-off. This was an absolute disappointment: expensive, noisy, and with no customer service. We’d stayed in better, cheaper places that included breakfast and a spa. Don’t waste your money here. The service was awful, the value was terrible, and they showed no interest in guests’ well-being. I don’t recommend it at all. We’ve already filed a formal complaint with the Tourism Secretariat, specifically its Inspection Department. The complex is for sale, coincidentally, and only a couple of employees seem to handle everything, from cleaning and reception to the pool. Draw your own conclusions. We weren’t told there was construction next door. The noise was annoying, even over the weekend, and guests should be informed so they can decide whether they want to stay in a noisy area. I’d specifically asked for a cabin with few steps at the final approach because we were traveling with our elderly dog. They assured me it wouldn’t be a problem, but never sent the photos they’d promised to show what the website leaves out. We ended up hauling all our luggage and our dog up the endless steps of the steep main staircase, the very stairs the “beautiful solar-powered elevator” was supposed to let us avoid. Don’t be taken in by the monorail photos. What’s presented as a picturesque way around the slope can become a nightmare. By some curious “magic,” it stopped working on our departure day. Worse, it had apparently been deliberately disconnected: the control panel door was literally open, as the photos show. The issue wasn’t just the “technical failure.” It was the lack of respect and humanity. As we left, an employee came down from drinking mate and acted surprised, but nobody offered a solution at the time. Customer service was the worst I’ve ever experienced. No one answered the WhatsApp messages or email I sent as soon as I reported the problem. They ignored us completely. Then, while we were on our way back, I received a two-minute audio message that they immediately deleted. We had poor signal, so I couldn’t capture it. They replaced it with a cynical, insincere reply saying they “didn’t know what happened,” without a genuine apology for the physical harm or exhausting ordeal we’d been through. Utter cowardice.
