Hotel Villa Huber

We loved the view from our room and how easy it was to reach Villach, Milstatter see, Faaker see, Slovenia, and Italy by freeway. Hotel Villa Huber has the feel of an old castle and dates back to 1910, with roomy, comfortable, clean rooms. The Hungarian owner and his son were very kind and helpful, and the price felt worth every penny. Breakfast was a tasty buffet with freshly baked rolls, cheeses, jams, yogurts, eggs, salami, ham, liverwurst, fruit, rye bread, tea, orange juice, milk, and coffee. There’s a playroom with table tennis and billiards, or you can take a walk around Afritzer see. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The mattresses were super comfy, and the room was tidy and spacious. Add the friendly staff, delicious food, and really lovely hospitality, and it made for a great stay. The location was perfect too. I’d recommend this hotel if you’re after a nice, elegant place for a holiday.

We had a great time here. The rooms were great, the beds comfortable, the Wi-Fi worked well, and both the location and parking were good. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The half board menu was tasty, and they were happy to make changes if you didn’t like something or had an allergy. The sauna and jacuzzi are free, but you need to let them know before using them. The spa takes two hours to warm up. It’s a pity there’s no direct hotel phone number anywhere, just the owner’s mobile. He did always answer straight away and try to help, though. He’s a genuinely nice guy.

The club room was a nice extra, with billiards, table tennis, and more, plus there’s a small, pleasant bar. Our rooms were clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed the food too. A great experience.
