We had a great half-day Alpaka/Llama trek as a family. Each of us got our own Alpaka or llama to walk, up a gently sloping road and then back down. We came away with lovely photos against amazing scenery, and it was well worth the money. Florian was really nice and friendly. Speaking English was a little challenging, but we managed just fine. One thing to know: without the sommerkarte, there's a toll per person in the car to drive up to the barn. That surprised us a bit, but didn't spoil the day. Highly recommend!

On a sunny day we went on the half-day Alpaca and Llama Tour. It was relaxed and pleasant, and the animals were adorable. Once they got used to us, they were very accommodating. I got several cuddles with our alpacas, Salvatore and Starlight. The walk was a good length without being too tiring, and the stop at the old farm was fascinating. The local German dialect might be hard to follow if you're not used to it, though we had no trouble. I also bought some of the farm's spun animal wool. It'll make ultra-soft hats or house socks!

There are lots of animals around the house, and everything was so clean and tidy. The owner is lovely and friendly, and breakfast is all homemade. Wonderful place. We'll definitely be back.

We stayed in the room overlooking Stoder mountain, with lovely duvets made from the family's own alpaca wool. They also sell all kinds of alpaca wool products at very reasonable prices. There's a well-equipped kitchen if you'd like to cook, and a sauna with gorgeous panoramic views for relaxing. The family is incredibly friendly, always around and happy to help with requests. Breakfast is homemade and well worth trying. The location is fantastic, with many regional highlights just a short trip away, and having the Schladming Summer Card included is a big bonus. The farm animals add a lot to the experience. We had a perfect week at Klausnerhof and would gladly return again and again.
