Haus Sama has so much charm, with an “authentic” feel in the best way. It’s in the best spot in Alpbach, close to everything. I stayed for two weeks, and Paula was the best host I’ve ever had, and probably ever will. I can’t put into words how lovely, welcoming, and easygoing she was. All the best to Paula and her lovely family.

Paula Bischofer is such a charming, hospitable person. She took us in spontaneously for one night. The rooms and bathrooms are well kept, though they have a somewhat old-fashioned feel. The mattresses were good, and the quaint wraparound balcony has a wonderful view of Alpbach. Breakfast was lovingly prepared and plentiful. At €80 including breakfast on New Year’s Day, the price was unbeatable, and we lacked nothing.
