We love staying in the apartments at Gabrielhaus. They’re well equipped and very clean, with modern bathrooms and showers. Most have balconies, and the apartments come with all the useful things: dishwasher, microwave, coffee pods, tea caddy, and enough pots and pans. There’s even a small rucksack guests can use for hiking, which is such a thoughtful touch. We’ve been returning to Eckart's Gabrielhaus almost every year for more than 20 years. The apartments have had extensive renovations in recent years, along with lovely details like fresh flowers, delicate and tasteful china, and beautiful scents, on top of the lovely decor and good wooden furniture. Our hosts, Elisabeth & Johannes, and their staff provide excellent service. They’re very helpful without being intrusive. Next time we visit, we’re going to try the Barbarahof apartment because it has a pool and spa. We highly recommend Eckart to anyone looking for high-quality accommodation at good value in the Altenmarkt area.

We had a perfect family stay. The hotel also has a lovely sauna and pool. Our apartment was spacious, had nice views, and came with a fully equipped kitchen, including a Nespresso coffee machine and dishwasher.

The attention to little details here was unlike anywhere else I’ve stayed, from candles in the lobby to a blanket available for the terrace. The house and apartment are wonderful, right in the middle of town, and everything was clean and comfortable. I’ll be back!!!

We had such a good week in one of the apartments and would be delighted to return. The town Altemarkt is lovely, and the location made it easy to walk to a Spar grocery store, a bakery and a cosy café. The staff were warm, welcoming and always ready to help. Our apartment was spotless and comfortable, with tasteful decor and beautiful wooden furniture. The building itself is charming, including its nicely decorated staircase. The kitchen had everything we needed for breakfast and even for cooking lunch, and we really enjoyed relaxing on the two balconies after a day out.

We’ve already stayed in three different apartments here, and every one has been beautiful. They’re comfortable, nicely heated, and have everything we need. The house is clean and smells lovely, the parking behind it is spacious, and the ski room has a lot of charm. This was my third week-long stay at Gabrielhaus with my husband and our dog. We’re always happy to come back. Thank you to Mrs. and Mr. Eckart for making the house so cosy and aesthetically lovely. We’ll gladly return.
