The rooms are roomy and the WiFi works fairly well, and the staff were kind and helpful. Breakfast had a wide selection, and guests can park for free about 50 metres away. This may be the best hotel in Amstetten, and it’s conveniently close to the city center. Everything was okay, but the rooms, while clean, feel dated. The spring mattresses and split bed, bathtub instead of a shower box, and lack of a socket near the bed all feel out of step with modern expectations. Breakfast was complete. I’d very likely return when I’m in the area, though a few small investments could improve the experience dramatically.

I was charged for accommodation that never happened, which I highly do not recommend. The online reservation cancellation didn’t work, and the Hotel didn’t send any reminder about the upcoming stay until 10 pm on arrival day.

The breakfast was good to average, and its staff were by far the nicest. The rooms were spacious, clean and fairly good quality, as I’d expect from four-star accommodation in Austria. But the reception and restaurant staff felt distant and uninterested. On my only restaurant visit, the staff ignored me instead of serving me. This place could be a good choice if the staff found their spark again and stopped judging visitors by what they wear. Yes, I heard you!
