It's a small family-run hotel with a family-run restaurant in a rural little town, and it seems suited to bicycle touring. The room was very small and had no air conditioning. There are lots of stairs and no elevator. Dinner is served by preorder. The chicken was tangy, the schnitzel came cold. Overall, not impressive.

Our host Daniela was receptionist, chef and manager all at once, and she was amazing. The team were very friendly, and nothing was a bother. Stop for dinner in the courtyard if you can, Daniela cooks up big, delicious meals. What a fantastic place.

After a full day cycling in the rain, our group was offered somewhere to dry our clothes and equipment, and they heated the whole hotel so we could feel comfortable, almost like home. There's a special bike storage area with charging available for electric bikes. It suits individuals and small groups, with a family atmosphere, good service and a homely restaurant where they gave us personal attention. Dinner was tasty and filling. My room wasn't one of the biggest I've stayed in, but I enjoyed the stay. The only drawback was no elevator.

This is a wonderfully renovated house that's over 500 years old. After a long, very scenic ride, the locally sourced food and drink were just right. The service was welcoming and thoughtful.

We were on a bike tour and had stayed in Linz the night before. I realized after checking in at the Schiffsmeisterhaus that I'd left something behind there, and I don't speak German. Daniela called the Linz hotel on her own phone and spoke to them for me, all while cooking dinner for a packed crowd. She confirmed my item was there, then let me use her phone to tell them where to send it. She was incredible. Dinner was fabulous too: we had schnitzel and the wok bowl with noodles, and both were delicious. Awesome service from a fantastic person. I gave her a hug, though it didn't feel like enough.
