The suite we received looked like the old doppelzimmer in the photos, even though the website presents the suite as modern. Its page only has three pictures of the updated rooms, which gave us a very different expectation. With no other room available, the staff couldn't resolve it for us. We'd booked the upgrade hoping to relax, use the spa, and watch Netflix. The TV was old and had only a few German channels, so we ended up watching on my phone in bed. I was very disappointed. They should either show the older rooms honestly or renovate them to match the pictures. As it stands, the listing feels misleading.

A really great health resort.

The resort is quite isolated, though you can walk to a Spar supermarket and to the bus stop. From there, Villach is about 30 minutes away. The hiking paths are pretty steep. I stayed for three weeks, and the staff were wonderful wherever I went. The food was excellent most of the time, with plenty of choice and lots of fish, but it was oversalted several times. There are some modern rooms as well as older ones.

The food was delicious and varied, with several menu choices each day. The hotel also has a well-equipped spa with different saunas, plus a fitness room with treadmills and exercise bikes. I had a lovely short stay in Bad Bleiberg in December. The therapies and therapists were spot on and friendly, and everyone on staff was so competent and welcoming. Special thanks to Andi, the sauna master, and Laszlo from the service team.

I felt really comfortable during my three weeks at this well-run hotel. The therapists were very good, and the reception and therapy reception teams were super friendly. The bar staff were fantastic too, including Nadine, Peter, and everyone else. Thanks again for such a wonderful experience.
