Villa Traun

Sasha, the hostess, is a genuinely good person as well as a real professional, and she'll go out of her way for guests. I mentioned I was worried about mosquitoes, and she brought us a plug-in repellant for the nights. We stayed a week and wanted to stay forever. The apartment is enormous, with two balconies looking out at the mountains, a sit-down kitchen, a brand-new shower room, and period touches like lovely wood floors. Probably the best self-catering accommodation in Bad Ischl. Will be back.

Villa Traun is a peaceful place to stay, close to Bad Ischl's Spa, and a great base for hiking. It's a 10-minute walk to the center, and even closer to the cable car up to Bad Ischl's signature mountain, Mt. Katrin. We spent an amazing five days in the delightful villa with Sasa and Erwin as hosts. Sasa welcomed us warmly and gave practical advice about the area; she really cares that guests have a good experience. She also speaks perfect German, English, and Slovene. Our apartment was stylish, cozy, and had all the modern amenities. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the kitchen made it easy to cook lovely dinners if, like us sometimes, you prefer staying in. I absolutely recommend it.

Sasha was an amazing hostess, always helpful and full of good tips for local places to eat and drink. The price was extremely fair too. We can't wait to come visit you again, Sasha. Absolutely great place to stay! 😀

This is our second time staying at this super friendly family home. Saša and Erwin are great hosts. We'll come again!
