The room gets quite hot, even with all the windows open, though the very powerful standing fan helps. The blankets are thick and fluffy, but there are no bed sheets. It's a spacious room in the attic of a large house, with a bathroom that has all sorts of supplies, including a hairdryer. There's a TV, tea and coffee, and a small fridge for your own drinks. You can also buy water or beer from the owner at a very low price. Electric cars can be charged here for a convenient price, just bring a Schuko cable and ask the owners.

The view straight out to Katrin mountain and its illuminated summit cross was a lovely end to our day, after we'd climbed it via the via ferrata. Helga & Otto welcomed us warmly and showed us to the apartment on the top floor. It's spacious and beautiful, with a large bathroom, and the value for money is unbeatable. It was spotless, including the appliances. There was a microwave, coffee maker, kettle, plenty of dishes and utensils, plus complimentary tea and coffee. A small fridge in the room had more drinks for purchase, like a minibar. Helga & Otto were friendly and welcoming without being intrusive, and we felt very comfortable in this lovingly run place. The owners live in the same house, but the accommodation felt private and undisturbed, with a separate entrance, our own room and bathroom, a small kitchen, and a fridge. There's a lovely view, and it's about a 20-minute walk to the center along the river. Parking is available for three cars. The owners speak some English :) We'd love to return.

We were only in Bad Ischl for three days, but it was such a wonderful time, and my daughter and I would love to come back. Helga and Otto are warm, welcoming people, and the holiday room was beautiful, very comfortable, and charmingly furnished. We'll definitely recommend you.
