There’s a separate guest kitchen upstairs with a microwave, fridge, washing machine, and coffee maker, apart from the owners’ kitchen. The location works well for winter outings and other trips too, with mountain trails and ski slopes nearby. Kulm Ski Flying hill was the main reason for our visit, and it’s only 20 minutes away. Dachstein, the iceberg, is close by as well. The Wi-Fi was surprisingly good. The house is beautifully decorated and well looked after, just like you’d picture an Austrian mountain home. From the balcony, the view is astounding, especially at sunrise. Staying here really gives you a taste of the Styrian atmosphere. The owner cooks and bakes herself. There was a different freshly baked cake each day, varied breakfasts, great coffee, and homemade jams and preserves. She speaks very little English, which made conversation difficult. Otherwise, we’re pretty sure she would have sat down for tea and a chat at breakfast. She’s a lovely woman.

The people are really nice, and the place is quiet and clean. It’s well placed for ski trips, with several big ski resorts nearby.

Great mountain views, and the place was clean and friendly. Hauser Kaibling and Pruggern for Rodelbahning were an easy drive away.

Breakfast was delicious. It’s an amazing house with a friendly family, plus a private bathroom and a kitchen where you can cook.
